This is where it all started!
The community room where the Monsignor Schnacky Community Players
perform their annual show. We build the stage for three weeks a year.
They only have a couple mics and a piano player (as you can see).

Here you can see the new black
background and color coded cues. Sharp eyes will pick out the radio
antenna for the power control between the mixer and monitor.
The Jazz CD was our pre-show music. It was set as the first cue with
auto-advance so that it just continued to play until show time. Since
then, the ability to use a playlist (*.m3u) as a cue has been added.

Here I am at the Blackfriars Theater in Rochester
working on the next BIG thing - video projection control! Sorry I look
so serious.
The show was the musical RagTime and we used
Cue Player to control the Tascam DVD player and projector you see in
the following pictures. The program has since improved to be able to
play video files and images by itself. A video demo cue file is here. Please
use the latest Beta version to check it out.

That is the Tascam DV-D6500
under the keyboard. It has an RS-232 port that will accept commands to
go to a particular title or chapter as well as Play and Pause.
If you look closely, you'll see the normal big green Play
button is now smaller with a companion Play DVD
button. The video cues were able to be blended in with the sound cues
so it was a "hit spacebar" show. The program has improved so that you
can now use .jpg and .mpg picture and video files instead of the
Tascam! It also has a new look with user selectable 'skins'. Here is a link
to a YouTube video of the opening of the Spitfire Grill using
projections.

Here we can see the video
projector as that little rectangle suspended on the right side of the
picture.
The images were shown on either various panels (you can see one
collapsed on stage) or the scrim when it was across.

This is the installation at Renaissance Performing Arts in
Mansfield, Ohio. The computer is also running the wireless microphone
control on the same screen. Cue Player will interface with the Palladium software for microphone control.
The theater seats 1402 and to my knowledge is the largest theater Cue
Player runs in.

This is how Vinny Osborne set
up his use in Dublin, Ireland.
His company, Sound & Music
contracts to run sound at various venues and he enjoys the flexability
of Cue Player Premium gives him.

Although not exactly an action
shot, this is the stage at the Amato
Center for the perfoming arts. They have been a Cue Player user for
several years.
The technical director there has contributed many suggestions for
improvements that are included in Cue Player Premium. Yours could be
next!
